July 18, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm
Feel like you never get to chat to everyone at the Service Design Melbourne events?  Come out for a dinner and a chat instead.  Pay your own way at a cheerful Chinese restaurant in the heart of Chinatown, Melbourne, and catch up with people you keep promising to catch up with "next time"!  This place does good food in a relaxed upstairs banquet room, and you can BYO alcohol too if you don't want to buy from them on the night.See More

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself
Finishing a PhD in participatory design and mining equipment. Interested in all thing related to using design to influence behaviours. Ideally for really valid causes.
Why are you interested in service design?
I blog about it heavily at:

humansindesign.tumblr.com

I also want to move into the areas in the future.

I see it as the human factors principles applied to services. Not a different skill set to where I have mostly worked (industrial equipment) but a different arena.
Profession
Human Factors Engineer / Choice Architect / Participatory Designer - Ergonomist - whatever works for the situation!
