Service Design Sydney

This Service Design Sydney site is a social site created by the service designers of Sydney forthe service designers of Sydney.

It's something a few of us Sydneysiders (Zafer, Justin, Katrina, Linda, Joe, Fiona, Katja) talked about first at UX SD 12 and also at the Newtown Coffee Morning.

Of course there's already a lot going on in Sydney – but we felt an online social context was also possible – and this site was a great inspiration.

As with the Melbourne site you can:

• write blog posts
• add events, photos and videos to the site,
• start topics in the forum,
• invite service designers you know to join,
• comment on just about everything, or
• just keep an eye on what's happening.

While there's no editor deciding what gets published there may be just a bit of post factomoderation to keep it clean and on-topic.

Being a social site the more we all do there the more interesting it becomes for everyone. 

So in the same way that Sydney service designers have been welcomed in to this site, Melbourne service designers are equally as welcome to the Sydney site. It'd be great to grow the dialogue between the two communities.
