A good meet and greet event with a special guest would be good.
We are putting together a presentation on the Service Design Jam and the KiN project

Sounds good - and great to see something concrete come out of the Global jam event! Your service sounds like what Manzini had done with his Sustainable Everyday Project: Creative Communities - service exchanges that were facilitated among community members eg. pack lunches, creche, renting a spare room etc.

Thanks for the link.
So is there another drinks coming up soon?
Permalink Reply by Yoko Akama on May 30, 2011 at 18:54 We haven't officially organised one yet, but Dianne Moy (from Watershed, Sydney) might be coming down soon and she's keen to do a talk/discussion of some kind down here. It seems there are notable 'cultural' differences between the Service Design scene in Sydney and Melbourne and stemming from that, the unique strengths that we might have in Melbourne, so that'll be great to hear it.
If you also have any ideas for what we could productively use this network for - please let me know! Tania will be organising the book club soon too, so that's another great way to bring members of this network together...
Cheers.
Yoko
