With the Service Design Melbourne site as an inspiration a few Sydney attendees at UX SD 12 thought it'd be interesting to see what could be done with a ning site in Sydney.

Hence... Service Design Sydney.

Sorry - I've been a bit drowned at work - I think this is a fabulous idea - a true network should allow us to collide ideas, tools and practices across Australia, between practitioners and academics - and generally help to demystify our practice and make it more useful to more people.
